During three season in high school, he threw for over 4,700 yards and 50 touchdowns. Hasselbeck showed his high-class performance throwing 1,970 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for five touchdowns in the senior team. Hasselbeck was named Player of the Year by Boston Herald, Gatorade New England Player of the Year and the Boston Globe for his performance at senior team. In 1996, he joined Eagles football team, where he played for four consecutive seasons there.
In 2001, Hasselbeck started his professional career from the Buffalo Bills. After a year he moved as a free agent to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Hasselbeck moved to the Washington Redskins as a quarterback in 2003. As a backup for quarterback Eli Manning, the New York Giants signed Hasselbeck in 2005. Giants released him on September 2007. Tim joined the Arizona Cardinals in October 2007. Unfortunately, he appeared in only one game from the team.
