Minenhle Jones was born on 7th July 1990 from her parents Jabulani and Queen Dlamini in Durban, KwaZulu - Natal province of South Africa. She obtained her primary level of education from Northlands Girls High School and then went to the University of Cape Towns for her further education. There she studied film, media, drama along with economics. She had an interest overacting and modeling from her childhood itself.

It was in the year 2010, when she was studying at the University of Cape Town she got the opportunity to be a presenter of 'LIVE' covering 'Youth Day' and 'World Cup Celebrations'.
